I've not done a ton of catfish fishing. This book reminded me why I should do more. Catfishin' is fun, catfish are everywhere, and they're tasty. The opening story of the author's commercial catfishing adventure is so funny. Phillips obviously has been there, done that -- you can tell he knows about catching cats. I learned a lot of great info about how I can ramp up my camping and RVing fun, but doing more catfish angling. Also, a couple of the recipes rock. Can't wait to try parmesan catfish! John Phillips obviously knows this subject well. Easy to read, and the tips are helpful. This book should be on every anglers bookshelf. Good reading.

It is a very easy read. The information is very useful. I would like to have seen more information on the behavior of the various species of catfish.
This book gives great information about catfishing -- from the best locations to the best bait to use. I love the tips from experts on their techniques to catch the best cats. Being able to benefit from their experience will definitely save you some "trial and error" of your own.
Bonuses included at the end of the book, including some great-sounding catfish recipes, make this even more of a gem.
Has some good tips but reads like an ad for Power Bait®.
